I’ve waited 6 months now for my son’s referral. We’ve been trying to get in since he was 3 years old. I keep getting told “we’re waiting for the schedule to open up” then I was told their policy is they cannot schedule until 3-6 months after the referral has been placed. What type of place is this?! At the end of the day, UF Health is a business, it shouldn’t be like a socialized (communist) healthcare system waiting months for a doctors visit! I hate UF Health and their lack of competence. Needed a referral, not for insurance, just for themselves. Took over a month to even get back to me. My child needed help, and they delayed for over a month. That is not acceptable.

If you want a doctor to dangerously put you on medication that is ONLY MEANT SHORT TERM and pawn you off AS A MINOR with no warning this is the place! They don’t care nor have the competence knowing how to ween off benzodiazepines. They injured me at 17 and now at 25 I’m suffering all over again. Thanks a lot
