I am a retired anesthesiologist and needed help getting prescriptions to cover the waiting period between referral and new appt. I have become somewhat cynical about “modern medicine” in terms of people caring about your problems, etc., but I was blown away every step of the way.The UCSF primary care ofc explained existence of Urgent care offices in many locations & then proceeded to offer same day service or appt 2 days hence. If I could give this center a negative rating I would. My Dr left the clinic and I have been trying to get the clinic to appoint me a new physician since they will only assign me a dr’s Assistant. I have called the clinic 5 times and (after waiting about 20 minutes on hold) have been promised that someone will call me back to discuss the appointment. To date no one has bothered to call me back. Extremely poor customer care. I would hate to see what happens if I really had a medical emergency.
