The UCSF Ophthalmology Department seriously needs to overhaul its scheduling and management systems. My doctor told me to return in 3 months, yet the hospital arbitrarily pushed my follow-up to 6 months — completely disregarding the medical recommendation. The scheduling system is disorganized and frustrating, showing a total lack of coordination between staff and physicians. To make matters worse, I had to remind the doctor myself to check my eye pressure, which should be a basic part of an eye exam. The doctor seemed disin... read more
