Review of the UCSD Jacobs Labor & Delivery and Prenatal Midwife Care: My experience with the UCSD midwives and Labor & Delivery at Jacobs was unfortunately disappointing and far from the supportive, holistic care I had hoped for. After I was informed that this was the place where I was supposed to give birth to my baby I asked myself many times if I should do it or not. Even after reading so many bad reviews about this place I decided to give them a chance because my doctor asked me to, I can't put into words the bad experience I had at this place, from the moment I got there I felt so exposed and unsafe and my husband and I regretted choosing this hospital over others, labor is a painful and overwhelming experience and they only made it worse for me... read more

Do not come here they schedule you for an induction call. you an hour before your appointment give you the go ahead to come in. You drive 30 min just to get there wait in the room for 2 hours and be told we don't have a nurse for you. Call us in the morning. Yoy call and call throughout the day and they still don't have anything available for you. WHY SCHEDULE THE APPOINTMENT A WEEK AHEAD OF TIME IN THE FIRST PLACE? WHY CALL YOU AND HOUR PRIOR AND TELL YOU TO COME IN JUST TO BE TOLD TO GO BACK HOME AFTER WAITING 2 HOURS? AND... read more
