This small clinic when viewed in the sphere of UCLA is a GIANT! A GIANT at caring, medical knowledge and in particular, Dr. Amy Richard’s, MD, she in my view is the best of the best and helps make UCLA HEALTH shine among the many various health organizations in Los Angeles. I highly recommend UCLA Vine Street Clinic to those seeking a clinic and staff that truly care about your well being.
I was referred here by my insurance and simply couldn’t set an intake appointment to save my life. Called multiple times and every time my call got dropped, or I was put on hold for upwards of ten minutes, or the person answering couldn’t speak English. Walked over there thinking it would be easier to set an appointment in person—the only person there was a security guard who was convinced that I must have no idea where I was even after I named the doctor who was I wanted to set an appointment with. Excellent Place to get help for addiction. Everyone is friendly and professional. Condoms and lube are provided as well.
Called me in for a study and accepted me. When “better” candidates came about they found the slightest of excuses to tell me I was no longer needed.
