RecommendedI transferred to UC Irvine in the Fall of 2012, and I found out about the SOAR center through the Antleader Mentorship Program. Frankly, it was kind of terrifying to be transferring here, but I grew to love this school and everything it had to offer. Through the center and the program, I was able to make some amazing friends! RecommendedThe SOAR centre, although small and hidden behind Gateway, it is a great place to be. It is a useful centre that has a positive atmosphere for students who are looking for a place to study, relax, or explore resources that the centre has to offer. The centre provides resources to different groups on campus that do outreach and retention services, and it strives to help the students who stops by. This centre is a home away from home for me. RecommendedI absolutely love the SOAR Center. It's a great place with a friendly atmosphere that you can stop by between classes if you need to take a break to recharge on campus. I've met so many great people there, and the center does great work with reaching out to students.

RecommendedI really love the SOAR center. It's been a place where I've been able to grow in a lot of ways since entering UCI. The center is filled with so many awesome people and though it is small, it provides tons of great help and really is a home away from home for all students who drop by. I hope the center is able to expand both in space and resources to be able to reach more of the student population!

RecommendedWhat can I say about a place that provides free food and study material during finals week?! It is definitely a great place to fuel up for finals and I know they do an awesome job with their PB&J study jams/bagel Tuesdays from Weeks 1-10 during the school year! The downside though is that when you're looking for a place to study when everywhere else is full, it can get pretty noisy, but hey, I guess that goes to show how strong of a bond the regulars have with each other =D

RecommendedThe SOAR Center has honestly been my home away from home. I didn't think I'd find a place and I can't believe it's took me this long to find it, but I'm here and it's wonderful. It offers so many programs and benefits to students, and I can tell that every individual is working hard to improve the Center and ultimately, UCI. RecommendedSOAR has to be one of the best places on campus. The staff there is so nice and welcoming and I can say I consider them to be my friends. It's awesome how they have bagels and coffee on Tuesdays and PB&J on Thursdays because sometimes I skip out on eating breakfast at home when I'm in a hurry. The place itself is quite versatile (that's the best word I could think of). Sometimes I just hang out, study, or have meetings. RecommendedThe SOAR Center is a home away from home. I did not know that when I wondered into the center 2 years ago. I was looking to get involved and I did more than just that. I found a great group of passionate students and administrators who care about your success and well-being. It's a space to study, eat, sleep, be creative, and ultimately to be yourself.
