About this business

A brainchild of acclaimed chef, Tyson Cole, Uchiko is his second establishment in Austin, which opened its doors following the success of Uchi. The menu features delicious innovations brought into traditional Japanese cuisine; Yokai Berry, Koviche, Dewbee Chicken and tuna sashimi with goat cheese are a few to be named. Truly the best sushi I've ever had. The congee was amazing but so was everything else! We did the chef's tasting and it was well worth it. I can't even say enough good things about the service. Top notch all around! Best birthday dinner ever!

The social menu is good but to me the individual sushi stole the night. Sake sushi was mind blowing. The staff really made the night one to remember. I can't wait for our next Austin trip to go back!

The food was good, but not excellent. Service was good behind the bar, but one raw dish took 30 minutes longer than everything else to come out and that was after reminding them over and over... I am happy with the wine selection.
