I've been on the phone with the billing department for an hour trying to figure out a bill that was sent to me through my chart and I was passed around from person to person and no one could seem to answer a simple question. I had high expectations coming to U Chicago, you guys need to get it together.
1 star is more than the ER deserves. The doctors in the ER are just the worst doctors that used to be at Porter, or what is now Northwest. I went in today and they took my blood and sent me home. The doctor did not address anything. He said I need my family doctor. I left the hospital with overly high BP, severe confusion and pain in my legs and kidney. I went to the ER and was treated by Dr. Pratt, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. He was absolutely amazing. He took the time to clearly explain my options, showed genuine compassion, and made thoughtful recommendations. I really felt like he partnered with me in my care, which made a stressful situation much easier. His bedside manner was truly top notch.
