Over booked, every doctor, every day. No end in sight
On July 3rd late in the evening I had an experience of having a bloody nose that would not stop bleeding. thinking that it might stop on it’s own I waited an hour and a half but it would not stop-my husband and I headed to UofC Crown Point emergency care and I was greeted and checked in by Sarah and immediately brought to the triage area where Nurse Shannon very kindly checked out my situation, calmed my fears and prepped me to be seen by Dr. Bebekoski. I had a very good experience with Dr Sara Gaines and the entire ER department in Crown Point. However I was also looking for a Neuro specialist in the area, and U of C Med never called me back hmm …that should not happen. They are still the best hospital in the Chicago/ nw Indiana area.
I've been on the phone with the billing department for an hour trying to figure out a bill that was sent to me through my chart and I was passed around from person to person and no one could seem to answer a simple question. I had high expectations coming to U Chicago, you guys need to get it together.
