We went here to the ER here with our baby and it was a great experience, from the front desk to Dr. Bebekoski. Everyone was kind and knowledgeable and the service was very quick. We were in and out within an hour, I would highly recommend!
If I could give zero stars for the scheduling and administrative staff, I would. I have a serious, worsening neurological condition (Chiari malformation), and the front desk staff at UChicago Medicine seems to think it is acceptable to play gatekeeper with my health. I originally had an appointment scheduled with a neurosurgeon. A very rude receptionist called to interrogate me about why I needed to be seen, and then took it upon herself to decide I didn't need to see that specific doctor. Had an allergic reaction to prednisone from Franciscann. Came here because my face swelled to the point my eye would not open. Did not get seen for over an hour with nobody there, was not put in a room i was put in a bed in the hall by the soiled laundry room. The doctor told me that my anaphylaxis symptoms to the prednisone were normal and just gave me benadryl. My wife had a procedure today. This is our first visit at this location. It’s a newer location and I have to express how wonderful our experience was. It was 6:30am we were greeted by an overnight security guard and was surprisingly pleasant. Her registration was seamless, Taylor had a great attitude, was very informative and even went through the whole process with me.
