It gets much worse. I go to the facility they FORCED me to go to and they failed to do the prior authorization. Again, my wife has been able to get imaging done at Greeley Hospital on the exact same insurance with no problem. My guess is that it's UC Health's monopoly behavior of placing obstacles to orders from doctors outside UC Health. Couldn't be bothered to even run my urgent, arguably EMERGENCY care through BOTH my insurances, and sent a message I COULDN'T EVEN REPLY TO to state my "insurance" (didn't specify which) somehow doesn't allow imaging from a provider "in a hospital based setting"?! There is NO REASON to send a ONE-WAY message unless they are doing something CROOKED. Made appointment for my husband for his MRI, scheduled for 3:45. Drove the hour and 45 minutes and checked in only to be told they were running 1 1/2 hours behind... Really, you can't have the courtesy to call and tell patients this ahead of time??? Proceeded to wait for 2 hours and 20 minutes until he was finally taken back. I HIGHLY suggest you didn't come here for any imaging, go to the other location on 10th.
