Very helpful. We came here after years at Rady's hospital. My son has extensive medical needs, especially pulmonology. The doctors here are knowledgeable and caring I feel like we are in good hands

I took an at home sleep test. I was told if the test wasnt valid or administered incorrectly, I would be notified in 3-4 business days. A month later during my scheduled follow up to go over the results I was told by the NP that I shouldve been contacted a month ago to re do the test because the results were invalid. Now I have to reschedule the test. They claim to have no availability for me to re do it for almost ANOTHER month. Even though all i need to do is pop in and pick up the device. Can you imagine struggling to breathe for 8 weeks and pleas for help/support are responded to with “go to the ER”? Welcome to UCSD. 8 weeks after being referred to the ALS clinic and receiving an advanced ALS diagnosis, struggling to breathe the pulmonary department had not submitted an authorization request to insurance for a ventilator - despite receiving a referral from the clinic and patient being told for 4 weeks that a referral for equipment was submitted. Jason the sleep tech was very demanding of me returning my at home sleep test. I have many health problems and have disabling fatigue when I don’t where a cpap and elevate my sleeping position. He still demanded that I bring it back. He said that he would get me my test results the next week. He never did. Some people are the worst.
