UCSD health is the biggest scam in San Diego. Their billing is STATISTICALLY the highest in the county. They constantly refer rather than solving problems. They don't look at symptoms and order labs that don't match up to what you're describing at all. Going to any UCSD health dept/clinic, including this one feels like I am trying my best to advocate for my own health concerns and their biggest priority is rather how can I fleece the most amount of money from this appointment?
We have called this neurology office FOUR TIMES over the last three months because my wife’s seizure activity has changed and is getting worse. Four calls. Each time, we’re told, “Someone will call you back.” Still waiting. Apparently, returning a patient’s phone call about worsening seizure activity is somewhere near the bottom of their priority list. Absolutely horrible experience. The attitude of the doctors at this office is some of the worst I have ever encountered. I understand that doctors are highly educated and have spent years in school to get where they are—but being intelligent and being condescending are two very different things. There is absolutely no excuse for treating patients and their families like they are an inconvenience.
