I spent 7 months at this treatment center for ARFID. Many have said that this treatment program is not good for patients with ARFID. Let me share my experience with you. The first couple months, I felt I was in the wrong place. I couldn’t relate to a lot of the things that most of my peers were experiencing such body image or desire to be a certain body type. This is the ONLY place to bring a child with an eating disorder. EDs are highly nuanced and treatment requires experts who specialize in EDs. It's not an easy or quick process, but it is absolutely worth it if you want to help your child. I went into it knowing nothing about EDs, but we got a ton of support & education throughout my daughter's stay. Looking back, I don't know where we would be without this program. I wish every child with an eating disorder could have access to a program like this.

Outdated science. Many have no empathy. A few great people (everyone knows who they are) are powerless because they are overridden by incompetent authoritarian top management.

Tough professional love and reasonably pushing limits is the approach here, and it certainly worked. I genuinely believe this place and the lifelong connections you make with the peers and the therapist named Gina and the psychiatrist named doctor Adler are the reason why I can say I’m fully recovered today from my anorexia and can fully enjoy food. Thank you so much. This is me eating the best pizookie I ever ate, I swear I’m not crying I was just laughing because it was so good. XD
