Went to establish a PCP, saw doctor for maybe 2 minutes and received an $800+ bill. Insurance only covered half and it’s been impossible to fight it so I’m stuck paying $500 out of pocket. Don’t recommend it unless you know upfront what you’re paying for.

I honestly can’t believe what I just experienced came from a place with the UCI health brand. To be clear, both the staff and Dr. here are great. However the process is horrible. I’ve made phone calls to the clinic 6 times over the past 3 weeks to get my prescription for insulin refilled. UCI Health is widely regarded as one of the best medical centers, yet my experience has been extremely disappointing. They consistently fail to respect patients’ scheduled appointments, showing a lack of consideration for people’s time and responsibilities. This repeated disregard undermines the reputation they promote. What is claimed about being “the best” does not match the reality I experienced. I reserve the right to escalate this issue to the appropriate regulatory authorities if this lack of professionalism continues.

UCI Health is widely promoted as a top-tier medical institution, yet my experience strongly contradicts that claim. For the second time, a confirmed appointment was not honored, with no adequate explanation or prior notice. This level of disregard for patients’ time demonstrates unacceptable administrative failure and a lack of professional accountability. Despite its reputation as one of the “best” medical centers, UCI Health has been a major disappointment. This is the second time I am given an official appointment, only for it to be changed or not honored without proper notice or justification. Patients have jobs and responsibilities. Failing to respect scheduled appointments reflects serious administrative negligence and poor management, which is unacceptable for an institution of this caliber.
