Newborn Parents Be On Guard!! I took my 6-day old son for his first appointment following our discharge from UCI Medical Center. When the appointment was made, we were informed that this was a pediatrics specific clinic and NOT a generalized clinic. I’ve been going to UCI in Anaheim since I was a child. This last year continuing into this year has made me think of moving clinics. To start off my OB Rita was just more focused on getting me on birth control. I had a stillbirth Nov 9th. When I went in for my appointment in December the staff Address me as pregnant even asked how my baby was doing when I reminded them that I had a stillborn, they said their record showed I was still pregnant. Absolutely unprofessional health care. They called me the day of my appointment to cancel it and reschedule it for literally 4 months, only for them to cancel the rescheduled appointment, ALSO SAME-DAY. They refuse to refill prescriptions without seeing you (so they can bill your insurance) but their providers never show! I've had one doctor from here literally ghost me twice on scheduled telehealth appointments.
