Things would go better with this hospital if there was better communication. My mother experienced a similar situation as another person that reviewed UAMS. She waited in the ER waiting room almost hours. Vitals were all across the board. I personally had to say something to the nurse. They re-evaluated my mother and got her back ASAP. On another note, we had to come back to the ER. We were placed in the hallway on a bed. Gave her fluids and pain meds by IV and sent her home. Had my first child, by emergency Cesarean in November. I truly appreciated how well I was taking care of then and throughout my entire pregnancy. UAMS is a wonderful place to have a baby!!!!!!!!
I will never go anywhere else for a specialist. Their ER leaves a lot to be desired, but Thursday I had a pituitary tumor removed by Dr. Day and Dr. Kanaan. I've been in the hospital since then and the nurses have made me feel like family. Gino is my night nurse as I write this, and he has offered a lot of encouragement that has made me feel better than any medicine that they could give me. I drove in from El Dorado, Arkansas on Friday to Visit my Uncle Arthur (know as) "Uncle" in the Hospital there, the medical service at UAMS is the best.
Amazing staff! I spent 8 days in the hospital and I didn't find anything to complain about. The care was amazing the food was great, and the pre and post op care was great.
