This happened to me a few years ago. The billing reminder for some reason was sent to my spam after some period of time. When I remembered to pay it, it was some months past due, so yes, that was my fault. I went online and tried to pay the bill. It would not take the payment. I initially had a great experience with this business and the owner, Dan, while renting two units for almost two years. However, things went downhill when I cleaned out my units in September. I removed my locks, informed the office manager, Danyelle, and repeatedly left voicemails, emails, and texts asking them to stop billing me. No one responded.
