We ate here before a show, had plenty of time to spare but the food took an hour to arrive. We tried flagging down our waiter to tell them we were trying to make it to a show but they ignored us the entire time we were there. When someone else finally came to our table he implied it was our fault and reprimanded us for not telling them that we were trying to make it to the theater. I would definitely take something off the bill to make it right if I was them, but they charged us full price.
Food was great. Take out service was good.
I may be biased, as I'm posting this as a vegan chef who loves good food, but Au Lac is a mecca for clean, delicious, satisfying plant based cuisine. Chef Ito is an incredible host and culinary talent, and you all owe it to yourselves to let him and his staff take care of you. This place never disappoints! The veggie pho is hands down my favorite bowl I've had anywhere, packed with amazing flavor in every bite. I also can't skip the octopus mushroom plate with wild rice because it's always delicious and filling. The serving sizes are generous, so you definitely get your money's worth. With great food, fair prices, and satisfying portions, it's become one of my regular spots whenever I'm craving a comforting meal.
