I have rented 2 trucks from U-Haul in the last 3 years. Both vehicles were 26 ft moving trucks and both trucks had tire blow-outs while I was driving them. The first occurrence was in late Spring 2018 and I was traveling through downtown *******, ** (I75/I85) when one of the two left double rear tires blew out. The truck was completely loaded with my families belongings and it is miraculous that no one was hurt. U-Hauls road-side assistance responded and had me back on the road in a couple hours. This review is specifically for the ******** Neighborhood Dealer- ************************************. We have a video documenting this dealers brazen manner. This incident occurred in the midst of the pandemic when masks were mandatory. The man has had numerous complaints against him already. He spoke to us us maskless the whole time we were there- he could not find our reservation and asked us to make a call. U-Haul called me today to notify me that the reservation I made over a month ago for a u-haul box is canceled because of high demand. I'm moving a high-traffic route and now am unable to find alternate movers on less than a weeks' notice. They were unwilling to provide me with a truck or alternate options and instead offered to book me a month further out (not helpful as I do not have a place to live beyond next week). We reserved a U-Box to be loaded at the *********************************** U-Haul Storage facility, stored at that facility and then shipped across the country a month later. We were told that we could have access to our box whenever desired over the course of the month and that all we needed to do is call the facility 24 hours in advance for access. My review is very similar to most of the others on here. 2 years ago, they accidentally delivered our U-Box to ******** instead of **********. They didn't tell us until the day before it was supposed to arrive, but mistakes happen. All was forgiven.A month ago, we booked a U-Box to be delivered on Monday (in 3 days). We received an email confirmation for our reservation. It did *** clearly state anywhere on the email that it was a "request" not a "reservation". Oh boy where do I start. We needer auto transport I called the number in ************** I was given the u-haul location on *************** got that all set up for auto transport for June 4th at noon however my son and father went out to that location and spoke to a ****** got everything all set up and had to ask for a later time *** to my work schedule. I attempted to do the online pickup of a rental vehicle at u haul - and it was such a ridiculously painful process, that I ended up cancelling the reservation. First - they ask for just about everything to verify who you are - I'm surprised they didn't demand a *** sample. Second - don't use firefox for the browser - every time I tried to take a selfie (which is required) it crashed my pic app... I have been trying to get a trailer hitch installed. I have had 4 appointments so far. The first, they called me 20 minutes prior to say they didn't have the parts ready. The second, i dropped my vehicle off all day and payed for 2 uber rides, at the end of the day no work had been done on my vehicle. The third appointment, i verified the time with a manager, however when i went to drop off my vehicle they said that they didn't have any appointments and that it was the installers day off... The customer service representative at the Grand Junction location was helpful and sympathetic to our situation. Uhaul as a large corporation, and Michael (the head of traffic) were not. I/we won't be using Uhaul again, and we will encourage others to use a different company. We had a 20 foot truck reserved for pick up in Glenwood Springs, CO on 5/29/21 and received a call 30 minutes prior to our pick up time that the truck had not yet been returned so would not be there for us to use.
