Extremely unhelpful and rude staff, very inconvenient check-in. You’re better off with Budget or literally any other service. Avoid at all costs, especially this location

I just got off the phone with the General Manager at this location, who yelled at me for calling to cancel my reservation based on information sent to me by U-Haul's Service Center. I reserved a 10' truck and received a text and email that said U-Haul changed my reservation to a 10' cargo van. It instructed me to call the store, leaving their direct number, if this change did not work for me. I explained what happened and that the change did not work for what I needed to move. Monday 9/22/2025. We walked in the clerk was not at the desk. This store should not be unattended for this long period of time. Something needs to be done about this. It needs to be 2 people working if another clerk steps away. Corporate needs to be notified. Only in DC. Unsatisfied customer.

The location is great and staff are very friendly and helpful. However, I was rather unpleasantly surprised when it turned out that the U-Haul had to verify my identity right before I was about to pick up the equipment. This involved making a call to somebody who knows me but we are talking about 8 a.m. on Saturday. All the necessary procedures -- uploading DL front and back and verifying through a call to someone -- could have been easily done at the moment of making a reservation, not at the moment of picking up equipment.... read more
