My daughters went to Dr. Tyree when they were young and there was never an issue with care. To those of you who are upset about children seeing the dentist without you holding their hand, get over it. I’m not aware of a pediatric dentist who invites parents in the treatment room.
The staff is never friendly. Both ladies that come out to talk to you and get your child are never nice. One of the ladies is completely rude and very condescending every time I’ve gone there. She even laughed at me one time and made fun of me in front of the other customers because I said I couldn’t believe my 7 year old child’s teeth that they removed had the entire root attached. I had him as my pediatric dentist and he was very unprofessional and now I have high anxiety and scared of going to dentists. I'm also epileptic and he's the reason why I'm so scared and have anxiety issues with dentists
Just wanted to share our experience today. We saw Dr Tyree in Valparaiso, Indiana. My 23yo (diag. Autism PDD-NOS, SPD, +) son had seen him previously when he was in a group home and now that he's home we needed a dentist. He needs complete sedation for all dental work. 2 1/2 hours is quite a ways to go for treatment, however, I had called several numbers locally or closer to home and was told they could not accommodate our needs. Super weird/strange that the dentist wouldn't allow me back with my minor children. Especially since my daughter has epilepsy. What are they doing back there that I'm not allowed to know about? We left without seeing anybody and will be going to a different dentist.
