Tyler's Restaurant & Taproom has quite a bit of tasty items on the menu, including Fish Tacos made from beer-battered whitefish, House Smoked Ribs, and Chicken Fried Chicken which has a hand-breaded chicken breast over mashed potatoes and mustard greens over white gravy. This place also has reasonably priced Lunch Specials that are available until 5p. The Carolina Cuban with ham and pulled pork, Swiss cheese, mustard and pickles pressed on a griddle seems intriguing and well worth a whirl at that price.

Never going back! – I went there after a Durham Bulls game last weekend. My friends just got engaged so we were ready to continue the celebration. We went inside Tyler's and got a round of drinks. Inside was pretty dead, so we went outside. We saw the tables in the front of the restaurant, but noticed there was a "please see hostess for seating" sign. great food, great drinks – The menu had a good variety of options on it. Everything our group ordered tasted great! I LOVE the garlic fries! Great beer selection. Service was not amazing. Not terrible... but almost rude at times. Took FOREVER to get our bill.
Great beer selection, not so great food – Tyler's Taproom has a great selection of beers. The restaurant has several different areas, so even when it's crowded, it doesn't feel overwhelming. But the food was not that good for the price. I had the beef brisket. It's described as "slow smoked." A properly cooked brisket gets tender, practically falls apart and is easy to cut with a fork. Will definitely be back! – Went for the first time before a Bull's game and had a great experience! It was a little loud, but the overall atmosphere was very warm and inviting. Looking around us everyone was having a good time including kids! That's right, kids! Tyler's is obviously very kid-friendly. I had the pork special and my husband had the carolina burger. This owner deserves what he gets – I would not recommend eating or working at Tyler's Taproom. Recently a manager was fired for not reporting to work on his one and only DAY OFF. He frequently worked 50 and 60+ work weeks over 10, 11, and sometimes 12 days straight and they paid him NEXT TO NOTHING. In fact, all of his hours added up might get him about $4.00 an hour. Pretty – Beautiful building. OK food. Toast the buns on the hamberger. Never serve cold buns!! The hamburger ain't got no flavor to it. The chips are good. I liked those a lot. The last time I got garlic fries and my OWN breath almost overcame me. That poor clerk at Food Lion, when I burped. Service was excellent.

Best bar food! – Make sure you order fries! The garlic fries are the best! The burgers are great, and so is the service. Beer selection is phenomenal. This is definately my favorite bar (especially to have dinner at).
