I have been a patient of Dr. Zachary’s for a few years now. When I first started seeing him, he was one of several endocrinologists in the area. Not too long ago that changed. He is now one of the only doctors of his kind in our area. I think he is one of the best! He is always kind, very knowledgeable, and never makes me feel like he is in a hurry to end my appointment. Moving to Lake Charles from out of state and trying to establish care. Called and asked their process of how to get scheduled never heard back. Finally called again and got ahold of the front desk and the woman was so rude. I mentioned I am high risk and pregnant and needing to establish care fairly soon and said I wouldn’t even see the dr but a nurse practitioner. First of all, Dr Zachary has a monopoly in Lake Charles, LA. One year ago he scheduled me for a follow up. When I got a reminder on my calendar I noticed I would be out of state so I called to reschedule the appointment. I was told the next available opening would be in seven months. When I asked if they could schedule me if there was a cancellation I was told they did not offer that service. I was then asked if I wanted to cancel and I said of course, I will be out of state. I called because I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and was just trying to get information, the lady who answered was rude I asked if she did testing there to see if they find out what type of diabetes you have she said she doesn't know what they do so I hung up because that is no way to talk to somebody, and if you're talking to potential patients like this I don't want to know how you talk to people who are already your patients.

Nurse practitioner had a rude, hurried attitude. She never listened to my entire problems, kept interrupting me. She never got the entire story of what has happened to me. The doctor came in at the end. She didn’t even type in everything I told her. They did current bloodwork and blew me off telling me everything was fine. The medication I am on needed to be adjusted so I trusted in a specialist and was let down. Rude, very rude receptionist. Do not recommend.
