I have seen the eye doctor 3 times. Had the new lenses checked 3 times. One lense has been straining my eye. So I go back to wearing old glasses. Went to the optical dept today and they say my new frames just need to be adjusted. Which has already been done. No refund offered just an adjustment. The doctor actually said try to get a refund and go somewhere else. He didn't even offer to tell me what to do about the eye strain. Very disappointed with the lenses and service.
I had a very negative experience with this provider -- he showed no empathy, did not listen and needs to learn how to improve his ability to interact with patients.
Dr. Sommerfeld took the time to provide detailed information about macular degeneration which is beginning to appear. I very much appreciated learning what this actually is and what might be done to slow the progress. A common complaint about "modern medicine" is that Dr's do not take the time to explain things to patients. This was not the case with Dr. Sommerfled. A credit to the profession and to Kaiser!
It was time to address my left eye problem and to check/ update prescription for my vision (eye glasses). It was excellent with preparation, vision testing and review. Excellent visit and confidence in accuracy!
