Dr Kersten is thorough, explains condition and procedures well. His surgical ability is outstanding! He listens to what I have to say and is very thoughtful in his answers.
NWOS is a top flight facility, second to none.
He is a very skilled surgeon, always giving his best to every patient! His patients love the outcome of their surgeries. I have been his nurse in the OR for 15 years and I recently had shoulder surgery with. I trust him implicitly!
Everyone in the surgical area were so nice and assuring. I was particularly impressed with Hannah who made me feel welcome and safe. The anesthesiologist was great, the OR nurse was great, and Dr. Kersten was so assuring I wasn't even nervous. The post op folks were also very nice and so helpful, the entire process was great. Pretty certain that Dr Kersten is a very special medical professional.
Dr Kersten truly cares about his oatients. He takes the time to explain in detail the diagnosis, treatment options, recovery , etc. He is compassionate and reassuring. These are rare traits in this day and age and I greatly appreciate him!
Dr. Kersten is phenomenal! He takes the time to listen and to explain. He orders appropriate tests and the results are immediate. He performed shoulder surgery on me, explained the exact way to recover and rehab, and I am pain free; my shoulder is like new. Dr. Kersten is an honest, intelligent, compassionate, and highly skilled doctor.

I had surgery 12 years ago on my right shoulder. Dr. Kersten was very helpful in explaining everything to me. My shoulder is still in A-1 shape but now I need a repair on my left shoulder. I trust Dr. Kersten and have set up a procedure with him again and am confident that I will have the same result. I have referred friends and relatives and will continue to do so.
He preformed Rotater Cuff Repair on both shoulders and I am very please with the results. I am 98% compared to my healthy baseline. Highly recommended
