About this business

2 Amys decided to bring the traditional Italian flavors to Washington DC in its authentic form. Getting its name and origin from the Neapolitan tradition, the pizza is cooked in a wood-burning oven. That's the factor that gives the pizzas the aroma and tantalizing flavor. At 2 Amys the endeavor is to retain the authenticity of the tradition. One of the most unique topping you'll find here is the Eggplant confit on the pizza called Etna. Another traditional baked variety is the Sfogliatelle, a typical Italian dessert with man... read more

Best Pizza in DC After recently moving from Chicago, it was time to pick my new favorite pizza in the new city - this time, thin crust. Of the several we've checked out thus far, Two Amy's come in first. The atmosphere is urban happy, a bit loud but that provide some energy. The pizzas are amazing, though - fresh, high quality ingredients and interesting combos. I'll be back many times.

Pizza's okay - atmosphere is loud I've just moved from Europe and am not so impressed with the quality of Two Amys...although I think many people don't share my opinion. I was expecting a bit better atmosphere too - it was loud inside and we couldn't really have a great conversation during dinner. The inside is very informal and is not what I expected with the way everyone raves about the restaraunt.

The best pizza in the District! The pizza here is made with really fresh ingredients and the combination of toppings is creative. It's the only place I know of that makes a pizza meeting DOCG specifications. Be prepared to wait an hour or more for a table. The small bar in the back is spotty - sometimes the service is great, sometimes the bartender completely ignores you and it takes half an hour to get a drink. If you can manage to get served, the bar has some great small plates while you wait.

Real Italian Pizza Two Amys serves the bet pizza in the District. No joke, their ingredients are fresh and pizza's cooked to perfection. All the locals know where to go and its always 2Amys for pizza. Moderately priced.

Excellent Pizza The pizza is as close to pizza from Italy as you will find around here. The prices are reasonable also. The pizza is the perfect size, and the toppings are wonderful. I recommend this place very highly! You will not be disappointed!

Great pizza The pizza's are the perfect size for one person and reminds me of pizza's you get in Italy. They also have a good selection of wine and you can sit in the back at the wine bar.
