The best rip off in town – And I do mean that. Food is overpriced and the portions are miserly. But I love the atmosphere and the wait staff has always been great. Maybe I just enjoy the punishment.
Excellent meal and cost on Wednesdays – My husband and I went here for our anniversary meal. We happened to go on a Wednesday night, not knowing the couple's special. I got the steak oscar, it was delish. Meat tender with the crabmeat and hollendaise sauce. It melted in my mouth. Oh, the salad and the dessert and the bottle of wine was great too. My husband got some sort of chicken but liked his well too. Definitely a steal for $39 for everything we got.
I've had a lot better. Yes, it offers different things. I like the other rocky tops better. I do like the desert menu.
Looks Good, Tastes Bad – My title definately sums it up... everything looked really great that we saw being delivered to the tables around us so we were anticipating a really good meal. The presentation gets an A but what a disappointment when you actually taste the food. Great North Raleigh Bar – Stopped by the Twisted Fork while shopping over the holidays and found it to be just the break I needed. I came in on a Sunday afternoonn the first time and had a great bloody mary at the bar. It was not a loud sports bar but I could still watch the games. Service was great, drinks were great, just what I needed.
Horrible Food, OK Service – I walked in and the entire place wreaked of a pork smell. Do not go upstairs if you have any issues with heights. They will sit you on a very 'open' balcony which completely spoiled any appetite I had left after the 'pork smell'. The waiter was very courteous. Not Enjoyable – We got the little beeper so they could inform us when our table was ready and we went to get a drink at the bar. Then we waited...and waited...and waited..until the bartender finally said it really isn't that busy, go check at the desk to see why you haven't been seated. Great place! – Went to Twisted Fork for dinner with friends Tuesday night. It was a large group and the staff did a great job accommodating our needs. The food was delicious - i got the duck - and the portion sizes were so gigantic 2 of my more immature friends had a sandwich eating contest. Love everthing but the price – I love this place! Good food & service. A great place to take your friends & family - there is something for everyone. The outdoor dining is a nice extra!
