I don't understand. I have stayed at this hotel numerous times and have never had a negative experience at all. Rooms are clean. Staff is awesome, Shuttle service is exceptional. I was able to sit on the balcony in the morning and the evening and enjoy the whether. It was great. Walking distance to downtown Tempe. I have a son at ASU and I plan on staying at this property every time I can. I have never had a problem with bugs or making long distance calls. Just a warning tho. They are sold out a lot because they are so good.
This hotel is the best in the valley. The location is excellent. The rooms are large and always spotless. The staff is awesome. The maintenance department really stands out the most. The chief engineer has done a wonderful job with his staff
I'm suprised at some of the other reviews I have read about this place. When compared to other hotels in the area you can't beat the Twin Palms.

The hotel was completely booked. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The van drivers went out of their way to help us. Our room was lovely and you can't beat that location and price.
The staff is friendly, the employees bring their dogs to the back office. There is birds in large cages. I LOVE the feel of this hotel...and the location is so convenient.

Twin Palms is more like a home than a hotel – The first thing I noticed was the diversity of guests. College students to elderly couples. I stayed there to be close to Frank LLoyd Wright designed "Grady Gammage Auditorium (on ASU Campus) to see the Broadway production of "Annie." The next thing I noticed is the "birds." The hotel is home to several exotic parrots that are in the cages in the lobby. The staff was exceptionally friendly, sort of down home. The place is clean. The rooms are fine. The bar is affordable. Nice older hotel – Nice hotel, definitely older, but had everything I needed. I had a balcony off of my room, which was a nice way to be outside, but stay in the shade out of that scorching AZ sun. Right across from ASU and hotel guests have free use of the student rec center (2 blocks away), which is huge, and has a lot of equipment - the hotel itself doesn't have a fitness center. There's a great little bar in the lobby, and the bartender, Brian??? is really nice and makes a yummy bloody mary! There's also a nice pool in t... read more
