Turned Away During an Emergency Been my dog's vet from when she was a puppy. Had her "fixed" there, got exams, vaccinations, brought in for medical problems, then called one day when it was 5:45pm. They said I could not come in with what I told them was my crying dog. They directed me towards some emergency clinic 1/2 hour away when I was 5 minutes from their office and had no car to go to the emergency clinic so far away. Would not bring my dog back to a place that would turn a long time client away in an emergency. They cl... read more
Good experience for me I was very sad to read the review from the person who was turned away with dog needing emergency care. I have taken two pets there since 1990 and have always had good service. I was pretty shocked to hear the other reviewer's story. Hopefully that was a severe exception. I noticed by clicking on her name that she has written two extremely poor reviews about two other animal care facilities. Hopefully she will be able to find a vet that can meet her expectations soon.
Love, Care, Consideration I've used Twin Lakes for almost ten years. My two cats and three dogs know them well. Compared to other veterinary clinics I have used over the decades, the good folks at Twin Lakes are the most loving, caring, and considerate of all. I read the one negative review, if it's still on this site, and I'm astounded. As long as someone was on the premises, I have never been turned away, no matter how late I showed up.
The very best! I've been going to Twin Lakes since I moved to the area in 2004. They came highly recommended to me from a neighbor and I am so thankful that I was able to find a vet that I trust. I'm sorry that Mary D. didn't have a good experience, but my understanding is that they are not an emergency hospital and I wouldn't expect such services. They have always accommodated me when I've needed to get my animals in (both in emergent and non-emergent cases), but when it's in my pet's best interest to go to an emergency/24 ... read more
A very good veterinary hospital I've been taking my cat Kirby to Twin Lakes for over 10 years and he's always received the best care. The staff is friendly, and it's obvious they all love animals. Kirby is a regular guest at Twin Lakes when I'm out of town, and I never worry about him, as I know he's in safe hands. I think their discount dental month is a great way to help people afford important pet dental health. It's a great place to take your pet for competent, loving care.
One of the best veterinary hospitals we've been too We love this place, we have 2 dogs and they've had muliple checkups, scheduled surgeries and unscheduled emergency appointments. Our dogs love going to the vets here, they wag their tails so much and can't even control their bladders when they first walk in the door! We have had emergencies and they took us right in, and those were as late as 530pm. They stayed open for us and were more than willing to help. I understand that they are not an emergency hospital and are not re... read more
Great Family Veterinary Hospital We have been with this hospital since the 1980's. Regardless of which doctor we get, we still get the same good service. Our first two dogs were labs and our current one is a bulldog. Their office staff is great and their service is great. Not sure what the problem was with the previous patient/review but we have had no problems in that area at all and have made several recommendations to Twin Lakes Veterinary Hospital.
We Love Twin Lakes! I think the bad reviews on here need to be taken as anomalies. I have never received as prompt, kind, accommodating and understanding care for my pets as I have at Twin Lakes. They have gotten me in for last minute- and even after hours- emergencies on three occasions, not only saving me hundreds of dollars on emergency care, but providing my beloved dogs with very important continuity of care. Yes, they give exams with vaccinations- unless you are very tight on money, isn't spending $30 to $50 additional... read more
Worst service EVER Worst experience I've ever had, from any type of merchant, period. Took my dog in for an issue, received an estimate, the actual cost of the surgery was twice what the estimate said. If I wanted to make payments, I would have had to submit a ton of paperwork. I was forced to pay the fee altogether. Dog had issues after surgery, which I was told would be covered by the fee I had paid. When I brought the dog back with the post-surgical issues, the vets told me it would be another $400 just to fix those issue... read more
