Basic carburetors have only one venturi, or air passage, but that doesn't work for larger displacement engines. That's why some carburetors are made with more than one venturi. These are called "multi-barrel carburetors," and the barrels can be different sizes for different fuel/air mixtures.

Multiple carburetors for engines are very uncommon, although some motorcycles and older model muscle cars use this feature. Multiple carburetors fuel different chambers of an engine’s intake manifold.
