We had the michigan salad with chicken and raspberry vinegarette. And the chicken and pineapple quesadilla. Both were really good. Another visit 6-11-25 I had the cod dinner with garlic mashed potatoes and side salad, it was very good! Light beer batter breading meaty cod. Garlic mashed potatoes were real and yummy. Might have wanted a little gravy, but I didn't ask; they were still good. He had prime rib open faced sandwich with fries and coleslaw. He said it was good. Our service was excellent as well. My brother really likes the root beer pulled pork sandwich. I'm always disappointed with my meal.
Out to dinner with the Missus again, quickly seated by the hostess, as four or five waitstaff buzzed around, we waited maybe 10 minutes and I mentioned that it looked like we were seated in a no help zone, again...and as I finished my comment the waitress appeared and apologized that she had a large party in another section, she was veery friendly quickly served us. The perch dinner was top notch, the missus reuben sandwich was a bit too bland. If you are on the north end of Alpena stop in and give them a try.
Place has a nice atmosphere, service is fair to good, the sandwiches are lacking the meat required for a good experience.
The portions are huge. The food is wonderful. Best mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and chimichangas I’ve ever had. Prices are reasonable. The service was excellent. We will be back for sure!
