Warning: Unsafe – I've gone here for years and never had an issue, despite warnings that fights were prone to break out at the Twilight Room. I just shrugged them off because I had never witnessed it myself and I'm of the belief that seeing is believing. Well, after what I witnessed on Saturday night, I will not be back for my own safety. First off, my condolences go out to the staff and owners of Twilight, there was a loss in their family recently. We were unaware of this tragedy and had we known, we would have avoided the ... read more
It's better than it looks – If this place had not been reccommended to me I never would have tried it, but when I started working in the area a friend who lives in St Johns suggested it. It is what it looks like a neighborhood bar that serves food and has pool tables close to the Univ of Portland. What is unusual is the quality of the food. I have been there for lunch and dinner over 20 times in the last year and it's always consistantly good. I have tried several items on their large menu and have never been disapointed ( t... read more
Wow, I couldn't disagree more with the last review. I've been going to the Twilight Room for over 5 years and have never had a bad experience. The staff are friendly, drinks are stiff, food (think simple burgers and fries) is consistently good, fast and cheap. The atmosphere is low-key, unpretentious and comfy, but can be overrun with college kids some nights. Now that smoking's not allowed it's not smoky anymore (my one complaint about the place previously), and there's a huge patio for you smokers. They usually have sports... read more
lousy service – went up on a Sat. night and was going to watch a game. Wow, lousy and surly service was the best thing about the place. Used to be a great neighborhood bar. don't know what turned the barkeeps into surly, resentful people, but obviously not happy in their work. used to have great food, but didn't want to stick around to find out this time. couldn't get their attention to pay the bill, even when I yelled loudly. too many other places to go watch a game to put up with that. teresa sherpe
Editorial Review by Ivy Manning – This hangout caters to students of nearby Portland University with bar food, pool tables and popular Saturday night Karaoke.
best bar burger in PDX – The T-room (as it's affectionately known by the regulars) happens to be my favorite dive bar in Portland-and considering how much I go out, that says alot. I crave their burgers and cajun fries! Not to mention, the bartenders are super friendly, you can play pool, Wednesday ladies drink for cheap, and they have KARAOKE on Saturday nights! Not to mention it's within stumbling distance from my apartment. I love the T-room! They just got a snazzy new paint job, too.
Friendly Locals – A GREAT place to meet your neighbors. Food is great and servers are friendly. You have to try the Fish & Chips -- AWESOME.
My Fav! – I love this place. The food is great...homemade fries...great service...friendly people...all for a reasonable price. My son would rather eat here than any other place!
T-Room – The old T-room is great for food, but it is rarely a good time. This NoPo sports bar has good food, but little in terms of character. The bar is nice, the food is great, and the service is good. The problem with this place is its frat boy atmosphere. Pull out the pool tables and get rid of that awful, awful music and you would have a decent little pub here.
Twilight Room has a 4.3 star rating with 983 reviews.
