Today I tried twice to book a car for a few days for some business trips, but my attempts were in vain... After trying to go through authorization and then user verification with my wife, Turo simply canceled the reservation and charged us about 60% of the fee for their services… That’s how it is—these guys make thousands of dollars in a minute, and trying to get anything back from them is just a nightmare and a mockery of their customers! Quite possibly one of the biggest scams out there and Turo seems to be complicit. Every host looks to be running some sort of scam whether it be charging you for damages that didn't exist or for fees that don't make any sense such as charging to recharge a Tesla because it was returned at less than 80% when the battery is capped off at 80% so it's ALWAYS going to be less than 80% because you need to use the battery to return it!
