The Turkish Kitchen has been in business for over a decade because of what it does best, cook Turkish cuisine. If you're looking for a show with the dinner, Tuesday nights are live music nigh... read more

good food, bad service – The food is good, though starting to taste like it came off an assembly line. The service is not good. It is obviously very popular, so maybe they don't feel they have to be that nice. Waitpeople constantly rotate through. You tell one you need a few more minutes to decide and a few seconds later, another one stops by and asks for your order. You get the feeling they want you to give up your table as soon as possile. The staff is unfriendly, the waiters are almost insolent, not to mention homophobic.... read more
what a taste! – I visit New York annually and every time I'm there, Turkish Kitchen is a MUST on my list of places to go. I admire the consistency in the quality of the food this restaurant has been serving for almost 20 years now. Love the Sunday Brunch! All the salads are simply irresistible, so fresh. I hope Turkish Kitchen will stay in business for another 20 years, I can't get enough of its food.
great lamb – Very nice lamb. I cant remeber when I last went there, but I'm going off of memeory and a review was well deserved so I'm writing it, better late than never
Great authentic food – Loved the mixed grill platters
Great food, great time – By far, the best hummus & patlican salatasi anywhere. Great date spot. Frequent diner.
Great food and decor but a bit pricey – Liked the food and the drinks are really nice. The decor and service are really good also. But it definitely is a bit overpriced. Been there several times and will be going there again.
People skills anyone? – Usually when you eat at a restaurant and you send your food back, it is understood that you should not be charged for the food...can someone please tell this to the folks at Turkish Kitchen?.
I've only been to Turkish kitchen for lunch. I had the green salad. They have a great wine list which is almost enough to make any bad meal good. Don't get me wrong I don't think my meal at Turkish kitchen was bad. I also hadthe iskender kebab which was excellent. I definitely need to go back for dinner.
Great Service and better Food – We have been going to TK for years and we do not live in the neighborhood. Since we lived briefly in Istanbul we have more than a passing familiarity with Turkish food and have always found their dishes to be authentic. Especially love the Icle Kofte and the calf's liver!! All the managers know us by our first names as do some of the veteran servers. One of our top 5 restaurants in NYC. And we are not twenty-something! I read the previous review and can only suggest two things: It takes a good... read more
