The Turkish Kitchen has been in business for over a decade because of what it does best, cook Turkish cuisine. Best Turkish food in NYC – I loved the food and the martinis at the restaurant. The atmosphere is very nice, too. Not too many people and loud at all. The service was great, too. Would definitely go there again and would recommend to all my friends!
WONDERFUL EXOTIC FOOD – WHAT A GREAT PLACE. MY BOYFRIEND AND I SKIPPED THE ENTREES AND JUST ORDERED A BUNCH OF APPETIZERS SO THAT WE COULD SAMPLE THE CUISINE. THE BEEF DUMPLINGS ARE TO DIE FOR AND UNLIKE ANYTHING I HAVE EVER EATEN. IT'S DIFFERENT ENOUGH TO BE INTERESTING BUT NOT SO DIFFERENT THAT IT'S SCARY....AND BELIEVE IT OR NOT THEIR DRINKS ARE REALLY GOOD TOO! ONE OF MY NEW FAVOURITES! A GREAT PLACE TO GO WHEN YOU'RE TIRED OF INDIAN OR JAPANESE IN THE AREA! ONLY DRAWBACK..THE WAITERS ARE A LITTLE COLD.
I have found the food at Turkish Kitchen to be very tasty and consistent. The dark red tone of the walls make the ambience kind of depressing. They could have done a better job. Staff is kind and attentive. As of Aug 2002 the restaurant was open only for dinner. Might not be the best pick for families with very young kids.
Disappointed, for the first time – Excellent main course, mediocre deserts and sub-par staff. I hope thist is not the beginning of the end. After all there are a lot more Turkish restaurants in the City now.
Wedding Bliss – Turkish Kitchen catered our 180-guest, cocktail-and-hors-d'oeuvres wedding reception on June 1st. They were thoughtful, professional and anticipated our every need during planning as well as during the event itself. Everything they touched ran like elegant clockwork. We received so many wonderful comments about the amazing food and wonderful hospitality they offered our guests. After our first meeting with them, we had complete confidence that we were in good hands a blessing for any bride and groom! We were ... read more
