There is a great boardwalk through the woods with plenty of wildlife. There is also a walking trail you can use, not to mention you can kayak down Turkey Creek. Been many times and always enjoy it.
We saw a ton of wildlife on our walk through the sanctuary. What a fabulous little park!
Great place to walk, kayak, have a picnic or go on a ranger led hike, where they explain the vegetation in the area.

Hidden gem! Turkey Creek Sanctuary lives up to its name. Trails. Boardwalks. Fantastic creekside views. Love the stories etched into the board walk planks. Massive oak trees with Spanish moss tendrils lend the place a magical air. Turtles. Manatees. Gators. All sorts of birds. An exercise loop. A canoe/kayak boat launch. A sweet little info center. Trail maps and flora info. A 1.5 mile exercise station. Easy parking.... What's not to like?

The repairs are complete and the walkway and the canoe deck are perfect. Came into the Sanctuary by kayak from Goode park. A great morning paddle and the manatees cooperated by giving us an opportunity to watch them. A great place to visit.
