I've taken my Camry to this shop several times. One repair in particular was a biggie, for which I was unprepared. I took the car in for a tune up and to get a belt tightened, and it ended up needing $2500 worth of work. Sean spent a great deal of time talking me through the issues, and explained which parts of the repairs were critical, and which I could put off for a while. These guys are the BEST!!!! I found them through the car talk site and went to them because of the great reviews from others. Let me say the other reviews were right on the mark. I delt with Jeff the manager who is a very kind, honest, and easy to talk to guy who really knows his stuff. I got my transition fluid changed with no problems and at a great price. Often times when I bring my car in to be serviced I feel like I'm getting ripped off and being talked down to, but not here! They were super nice and didn't try to upsell me. This will be the first place I go next time my car decides to crap out on me. Thanks guys!

My daughter recently went to school in San Diego for several years and didn't do maintenance to her 2001 Toyota Corolla as she should especially with her on a tight budget. I called Tune Craft while calling around looking for a regular vehicle inspection/service to be done on my 2006 4Runner and they were able to get me in the next day. Which was perfect for me. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by Shawn and he was more than helpful pointing out all the details of the inspection. I had a very good experience at this center. Rick was very helpful with my car troubles and explained the things that needed to be fixed in a way I can understand. I also felt he didn't want to fix things just to rack up the bill.

We found Tune Craft through Car Talk after many bad experiences with chain auto stores and are thrilled with the service. Shawn and Paul are great at explaining what should be done and what has to be done. Shawn found my car was burning excess oil, checked the maker's memos, and explained the situation. He regularly tracks the oil level for us and even offered to top off the oil for free! About a month ago I was looking for an alternative from the dealership and wanted a second opinion on what could have been some major service for our 2005 Corolla and Rav 4. I am really glad I went here. The service was great and we ended up saving a great deal of money on service our cars really didn't need. If you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic, I really recommend this place. I can see why its AAA approved.
