My 1st time visiting tulsi. A new gem in east brunswick. The atmosphere is terrific inside the restaurant. Warm, inviting and authentic to the Indian culture. The food choices are awesome. Great portions and very flavorful. Only negative was with amount of rice offered. Two small containers. I had inquired if basmati rice was included. We are blessed in Central New Jersey to have a wide variety of Indian restaurants to choose from, but Tulsi Indian Cuisine certainly ranks among the best I and my family have ordered from in our many years in the area. The food is consistently excellent, and several of their dishes rank among the best I’ve tasted. I’ve found that many of the best meals can be found in unassuming storefronts, and this is very much the case here. My friends and I were hungry after a music concert and went to the first restaurant that came up on our search and it was tulsi. It was quite late on a Sunday night and the kitchen almost closing. But the staff were extremely kind and seated us immediately. The staff was very friendly, courteous and made good recommendations. The food was absolutely scrumptious and it took us by surprise. The restaurant has a pleasant and warm atmosphere. We will definitely return despite the restaurant being forty minutes away from home.
