Staff were nice
I have left a review on Tucker Pavillion before, but I have to do it again on another account to applaud how amazing the staff are at this behavioral health hospital. Throughout many years from the age 14-18, I was a very troubled teen who struggled with severe post traumatic issues, all of the staff including Adolescent (1 west), 3 east, 3 west, 2 east, were absolutely amazing to me. The pedatric psych ward was extremely helpful when our son was in crisis. We greatly appreciated the fast and thoughtful communication from social workers. The doctors are excellent and easy to talk to. The nurses made him feel safe and we're easy to communicate with.
Ummm…everything was just okay. Some nurses and staff were nice, others were not. Intake is terrible. The nurses and staff in there make you afraid to ask for anything. The food was terrible. Every meal, every day I was there was cold. Every single meal. When I asked to have something heated I was told that they couldn’t because I touched it? The variety they offer is horrible. I am sure regular patients in this hospital get a better selection with hotter food.
absolutely horrid place. i came in for having panic attacks accompanied by some chest pain & left arm numbness. after being held there for 24 hours, i never saw a proper doctor or psychiatrist… just a nurse practitioner who barely gave me the time of day. it took them over 24 hours to give me an ekg to test my heart. the place is dated, full of gnats, incompetent nurses, and is set up more like a prison than a psych ward. if you’re having a mental health crisis, go literally anywhere else bc you will not get the help you nee... read more
