I was in the mental hospital section many times. It was awful, to say the least. The doctor put me on medications that had negative outcomes, like puking up my meals. Despite telling him the next day that I needed to get off of them, he didn't do anything about it and kept me on the medication even when I made it clear it was making things worse both physically and mentally.
One of the worst places on the planet, I wouldn't recommend anyone that you care about go here. This place needs to be condemned. They need a new staff. No compassion for human beings. An absolute disgrace to our community. Kick people out when they have nowhere to go, in a snowstorm. They give 7 days and release you in 5. Pathetic excuse for a rehabilitation facility.
My first night was terrible, I came in full crisis and I was just put into a room. After I was moved to Tuckers it was better, nurses and techs were amazing. Night staff needs to be more considerate, conversating at patient doorways at 2am. Otherwise I was treated with respect and I got what I needed while I was there.
I feel so fortunate to have found the Tucker Clinic. Dr Kernoble, Jordan, Kathi, Tasha, Kadejha, and Stephanie are all so incredibly supportive, compassionate, empathetic, and professional. I love feeling the support of my therapist, Kathi Anderson, and psychiatrist, Dr.Kernoble, and all of the associated assistance. Warm regards to you all!
