Been in the Emergency Room waiting area for going on 9hours and keep being told waiting on a bed to become available. Not once has anyone checked on us, offered no food or water. I will come back to this post to update the total time waited before being seen
UPDATE: It took several months and calling numerous times but someone finally got back to me. In a letter I received, well over a month later, it stated that a Tara Williams (manager of the er) called me closely after this terrible experience occurred. That is a lie. I had no phone calls nor messages from this woman. My therapist called and left a message with the “patient advocate” but they never returned the call back. Tuckers (specifically adolescent, and 3 adult units) are absolutely amazing, all of the staff do make sure to care for their patients and we aren’t left behind in the dust and don’t feel that way either. Over the times I’ve come to tuckers more times than I can count since 2021. Tuckers has been a vital support in my remission journey, which I now have been in since October 2024 which was the last time I was even admitted here. I have not been admitted since then.
