RecommendedOur daughter graduated more than a year ago from this program. We found the true north treat to be most caring and professional. No doubt there were challenging times for our child early on in the program, but she talks today about being able to overcome anything having successfully navigated this program. She learned many skills in coping, overcoming obstacles and teamwork. She still stays in touch with several of the counselors. It’s never an easy decision for parents, but this is one we were extremely glad we made.

True North is a dangerous program. Their staff is no trained, problematic, and use fear tactics with both parents and children. All they want from you is your money. They do not want to help you or your child. Will your child come home "better behaved"? Maybe, but it will be because they were forced into submission and taken away from their family for months. If you love your child, find real, proven, consensual help for them, rather than relying on these untrained fools.
My son just graduated from True North. To say it was great experience for him is a major understatement. It was life changing. The staff, from the guides to the counselors, helped my son overcome the things that were preventing him from being the incredible young man he is. I would highly recommend True North. The story of my son's life was rewritten because of their hard work, knowledge and genuine concern for his well being.
Life changing experience for my son. Could not be more impressed with the program. He was crying in opposition when we dropped him off, and crying tears of gratitude for the program when he was leaving. Incredible staff, therapists, guides, peers. My son is the better for all the above.
This is an excellent program run by extremely talented and caring professionals. The level of organization is second to none, the support for parents is phenomenal, and the kids get a lot out of it. As with everything in the mental health realm, YMMV, but after having experiences with a number of programs I can say definitively that this one stands out as one of the best.
What a great program! The world needs more of this!
