I went with my mom to this appointment for support, as doctor visits have been very difficult for her since my grandmother passed. I waited in the lobby while she was seen, which was fine. What upset me was how my mom was treated during the appointment. When she expressed concerns about her anxiety, the doctor responded, “from anxiety no one dies,” which felt dismissive and lacked compassion. *I would prefer zero stars.* After years of being a patient of Dr. Ramirez I have realized that both she and her staff do not actually care about all of their patients health. Being anemic since I was 8 years old is totally acceptable to Dr. Ramirez and when she reads my low iron levels she states “consistent with history” instead of trying to find the root cause. Nicole Lopez, NP is amazing. Three years ago I arrived at the office thinking I was going to die cause I had high blood pressure, her calm demeanor and knowledge put me at ease that we would manage this and sure enough it’s under control. And when I had a rash and she assured me that it wasn’t leprosy but only an allergic reaction. The whole staff is super friendly and all seem to have a wonderful sense of humor and laughter is the best medicine. Can be rude sometimes
The staff make you feel welcomed & are very kind. Dr. Ramirez is a great doctor. She takes her time with her patients and truly shows that she cares for our wellbeing. She hears you out without rushing and shows compassion. I highly recommend her.
