This was my first visit to see Dr. Troy McArthur and I was hesitant because of past experiences with podiatrists. However, Dr. Troy was amazing with his good and informative nature, explained in great detail the issues I was having with my toes, then expertly removed the callouses and thinned my nails. Excellent experience with Dr. Troy McArthur. He was very kind, compassionate, and attentive throughout my visit. As a patient, I felt that he truly understood the reason I was there and took my concerns seriously. He carefully evaluated my situation, collected the necessary samples, and explained the process while I waited for the results. I would definitely recommend him 100%. Update: I just found out today, Friday, (after walking up there past 12 pm then you're closed) that my shoes were not requested when I requested both shoes and inserts and would hope it's for Veteran's condition, not the VA or anyone else's to think I didn't need new shoes. Dr. Troy McArthur prescribed me 10 mg prednisone tablets, with instructions to take six tablets daily (60 mg per day) for the first four days, followed by a tapering schedule. The total prescribed course was approximately 12 days. I am concerned about whether this dosage and duration were appropriate for the condition I presented with, which involved swelling and pain on the top of my foot.
