I took my son to the emergency room he had been broken out in little red spots all over his body all they did was give my son benydral and sent us home my son woke up the next day his face was so swollen that he couldn't see out of his eyes I took him to arnot and they gave him a steroid he now is on steroids for a few days til we can see his Dr on Monday I'm not Happy with this hospital at all my sins swelling is finally gone down he is still a little swelled in his eyes I dont recommend this hospital if its a serious injur... read more
They are to short staffed, they had to put patients in the halls. Took a bit over 4 hours for our visit but to be fare it was for a FLU /fever concern for 5yr old granddaughter. When we arrived there was 1 in waiting room when we left multiple people where standing do to no room. The Doctor had a good bedside manner and the nurse was genuinely caring.
The facility is not equipped for any medical condition other stabilize to transport. In speaking with the resident physician it became crystal clear that they allow the patient dictate what is best. Only to discover it was because the patient and their family were not given appropriate information. Due to the size of the Troy hospital specialist do not make rounds or consulted.
I usually hate going there but just recently cut my left ear and had to get 12 stitches on it. The staff was nice and took good care of me. On the other hand my wife took our 3yr old daughter there and the Dr was rough on her pushing on her and getting frustrated. All I can say is lucky I wasn't there. I don't hold back. My wife is the bark and I'm the bite.
I'm afraid most of the staff is lazy, incompetent or both. My dad went for rehab after surgery, developed pneumonia, lost over 20 lbs and past away. We came in daily to full trays if cold food.. so we brought edible food for him. They never even attempted to feed him. As he became sicker the Dr on staff said he didn't have pneumonia. He was wrong. If they would have sent him back to packer sooner he might still be with us. Be aware that they don't pay much attention to the elderly.
