Fabulous place!! My husband & I stop here every time we are in or near Spruce Pine. The food is exceptional! It’s owned and ran by a husband & wife, they do a marvelous job managing the high volume of customers. We highly recommend this restaurant. We are always telling people to go visit.

Claudia was an amazing host and the food was great! I had the Colombian empanadas, they were phenomenal...the dipping sauces were a delicious too. I can’t wait to visit again!
Second time we’ve eaten at The Tropical Grill and it was fantastic once again. The Tilapia Cubana is amazing, my fish was cooked perfectly. My husband had the chicken panini and also loved his meal. We enjoyed our time there and can’t wait to come back to Spruce Pine and eat there again!
For work I get taken to many high end fancy restaurants, but few compare to "The Tropical Grill"! Plain and simple, this restaurant is one of the best in Western NC. If you like great food from the Caribbean and South America, you need to come here! Unique dishes and amazingly fresh ingredients. This is a "destination " restaurant. 5 Stars!!!
Found this little jewel by accident as we were taking a Labor Day drive through the mountains of western NC. It was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was awesome! We'll definitely be making return visits.
Very very good food and service.
I love this place! It's Cuban food with a big menu serving, large portions within a colorful environment inside and out. Restaurant/gift shop all in one. The owner is the cherry on top. She is so friendly making us feel at home being detailed on how our food is prepared. Well worth the drive from Tennessee.
Excellent food. I had the tropi Chopin platter Sarah the tilapia platter. Will be back.
