I love Chinese food so it is a given that I would go here and have it to my way. They have great rice meals that will surely get you full by the end of the night.

Yum Dim Sum – Is dim sum Chinese for tapas? I feel like it should be. Carts, small plates, yummy things, and I don't even need to be able to read Chinese, I just point and nod. Would I like to eat delicious things? Why of course I would.

Worst experience ever! – Take out chinese at extremely high prices! This is the first time I have ever felt robbed at a restaurant. Would have spent less at PF Changs, gotten better food, better service, rice and drink refills. The Dim Sum appetizer was good, everything else was horrible. If you must go, stick with the Dim Sum, and get it to go.

By Far The Best Chinese In South Florida! – Sure it's not NY or San Francisco but for me the food at Tropical is the best in South Florida! I worked and ate in Chinatown in NYC for many years and I know many different kinds of Chinese food from Szechuan to Hong Kong and the food at Tropical is authentic and on the mark. Only place you can get a great selection Dim Sum every day. Don't miss Tropical's Sauteed String Beans, Chicken with Black Bean Sauce and Beef with Chinese Broccoli. The seafood is always fresh and I am getti... read more

writer of previous post must be a part owner of the restaurants that were recommended – have eaten at tropical many times. The dim sum is very authentic and fresh. I lived in Asia for ten years and my wife is Chinese. Tropical is by far the best in South Florida. But, for my wife's birthday I decided to try another spot (actually ended up at two) based on the previous recommendations and the fact that we live in Boca. First went to Grand Lake, The selection was average at best. Most items were not up to par. The lotus leaf w... read more

For Dim Sum.....Forgetaboutit, Tropical is at the best marginal – For those who have experienced Dim Sum in (real) Chinatowns, ae. San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, Boston, and Montreal, your expectations are obviously lowered due to the fact that the number of ethnic Chinese in the area can`t support a thriving Chinese Food District with streets of world class Chinese Restaurants. That said, and after reading the gushing positive reviews on multiple sites, off we were to Tropical. We had no wait to be seated...just lucky I... read more

overrated dim sum – Having lived in both sanfrancisco and nyc, I have known what great dim sum taste like. My family and I have eaten at Tropical Chinese many times and the first time we went, we were very impressed with the dim sum-- by far ,the best we have had in miami. Over the years however, the quality of the dim sum has declined and we are hesitant to go back there again.

Great dim sum and hard-to-find Chinese delicacies make this one of the most popular restaurants in town. – In Short Fans flock to this Southwest Dade restaurant for the dim sum, especially on weekends. They come for the incredible Cantonese/Mandarin jewels like siu mai, stuffed eggplant, shrimp dumpling and peppery prawns. The dim sum is cheap, but dinner can be steep. Exotic entrees like sliced abalone with sea cucumbers near $50. Others run the gamut from $9 for delicious Singapore noodles to $23 for endangered shark's fin... read more
