It has been a long time since I have been to Helen. I am going to be honest, it will be an even longer time before or if I ever go back. Sad to see what this once nice fun little get away has become. Run down and sloppy to say the least. The food at the Troll Tavern use to be one of the better places to eat. Can not say that about this visit. Party of 4 and all of us had bubble gut after eating. Food was cold, and awful. Beer was room temp and very over priced.
The view of the water is beautiful, the food is overpriced. I ordered a kiddie hot dog it was 6.00 dollors and arrived at my table in a rock hard toasted bun. With absolutely no condiments on it. Had cheese fries cold, and had cold hard cheese on the top . Very disappointing .
After we waited forever the overall service and food was good I'd come again .loved the view
Food was just ok, service was great and fun atmosphere.

Food was good, no German mustard, service could have been Better.
Quaint little town. Friendly people in all the shops we visited. Food at Troll Tavern very good. Cold beer.
