We had the most incredible experience at the birth center. We came from out of state to adopt a baby, and we were a little anxious about how everything would go. The medical professionals were kind, knowledgeable, and attentive toward both us and the birth mother and her family. They easily navigated a complicated situation with compassion and understanding. I had an emergency room visit at HMC in August 2023. The medical care was decent, but the billing department is ridiculously incompetent. They billed the wrong insurance and told me that my portion of the bill was $1910.31. I paid that bill because that was what I was told that I owed. I did not find out until December that I only owed $1082.83 when my active insurance was actually billed for the visit.
