Worst experience that I have had at a hospital. I appreciate the few that I have interacted with that are trying to make my visits better, but unfortunately the bad definitely outweighs the good. I think the biggest problem that unfolded today that has really set me off, was the fact that I sat in a room for 2 1/2 hours without anyone coming in to ask if I was OK or start my treatments and then had a nurse come in and hand me my discharges and tell me I was good to go… Without my treatments being even started. Have compassion for your ER Patients would be a great place to start. I’m told a patient was brought there yesterday and was very disrespectful to a patient. Who do we send the formal letter to? They talked around him/her and said “I bet this is a Halloween joke”, “wake up and tell us where they stick you for an IV!” What kind of mess is that? I’m appalled of the attitude they showed this patient and if they treat every patient like this or only black patients?

Recommended10/10 would recommend Oak hill hospital for the L&D team and their NICU. My labor was amazing and they where at my side through the whole experience making sure I was comfortable and had the labor I wanted. My son has been in the NICU for a little over a week and they have treated my son like their own and I could never repay them. Sheri and Ann where his primary day/night nurses when he was needing the most attention from them and they did a phenomenal job with him. I’ve only been here since yesterday but after I had surgery last night, they have let me get out of schedule with my iv antibiotics. They were short staffed with an IV specialist, now waiting for a midline. But this is the second dose of antibiotics that I am missing now. Not to mention their idea of controlling pain is to give you whatever and not even come back and check if your pain has budged. You can sit in your room and cry for hours and they still don’t care or won’t give you anything for anxiety. But it’s OK that the... read more
