RecommendedFirst time there! Can’t wait to go back again. Excellent fresh food, wait staff, and atmosphere! First class all the way!
The food is pretty good and the beer selection is pretty good also. Their beer is ok, but a little pricey. The place is nice and the people are great. They often seem a little disorganized, but generally they do pretty well. I’ve been severantimes and will go back; while it is a nice spot in Zeeland, I’m not sure I’d say 5 stars yet.
My family and I stopped in to eat during Zeelmania. As soon as we walked in the hostess rolled her eyes and huffed while 3 other staff members were crowded around her. Apparently we interrupted their conversation(s). Our poor waitress was the only person waiting on tables in the whole restaurant/bar. I saw a lot of wait staff standing around doing nothing, while this poor girl was doing everything on her own. It took forever to get our menus and food. We have been here twice before with a pretty good experience. SADLY yesterday was absolutely TERRIBLE!!! BEER was questionable and COLD food. Our service was slow also. Too bad WE really enjoy downtown Zeeland.
Food was delicious & staff was great, even welcoming our dog. Loved it.

We came from Traverse City to visit family and had a half hour to kill. Glad my search came up with Tripelroot! The waitress was very knowledgeable and helped us select our beers, even offering a taste of one we weren't sure of! We loved our beers and the atmosphere. Don't quite understand the spelling of triple/tripel? Great place for a lovely town!
