I had a very concerning experience with Dr. Musselwhite. I was referred here for medication management and during my first appointment I went over my current medications, my mental health history, and everything you’d normally cover. The entire visit was almost two hours, and throughout that time she kept pushing me to start SSRIs, even though I explained multiple times that I had already tried them in the past and they did not work for me. I generally like Trinity Health but this office seems incredibly disorganized. My appointments (in person and video) have not started on time. My doctor scheduled my next appointment and told me that it wouldn't be "official" till someone called to confirm, and no one ever did. However, since the appointment was showing in MyChart, I tried to sign on for it, only to learn it was an in-person appointment – which is simply not what we discussed.

I was a 5 year patient of Trinity Health Psychiatry. They properly diagnosed me within the first few appointments and got me on the right track with treatment and medications that perfectly suited my needs. Every July you are assigned to a new resident, thus requiring a new intake appointment to rehash all mental health history etc. Somewhat inconvenient, but I have really liked all of the previous residents that I have seen: Dr. Taquee, Dr. Berri, Dr. Doong and Dr. Choudhry. While I am not a patient at this practice, I am an advocate for a patient who had requested my assistance in resolving an ongoing issue that she was struggling with. After her initial appointment she was dissatisfied with her provider and requested to see a new one, which is a reasonable request for any healthcare practice. She was told that her request would be put under review by the director of the program but that she would not be back in the office for a few days. I love Trinity health / IHA but unfortunately I had a bad experience at this location. When I requested to switch psychiatrists I was told there was a review process for it and that I would hear back. Over the course of 3 weeks, I called back multiple times with no updates. My mental health conditions made it hard to follow up further so I ended up asking my girlfriend to advocate for me.
