Food. Mmmmm........ – I love to grab lunch at the bar here. The food is just great. Excellent walleye, enchiladas, schnitzel, crab cakes, just to mention a few. I've never had any service problems. Get there before noon if possible. It's not what I would call cheap by any means, but you do get what you pay for, as the saying goes.
Way above average food – The food at Trinity is some of the best in Denver. It is very consistent, which is important. You always know what you are going to get. The green chile, believe it or not, is amazing, given the fact that this is not a Mexican restaurant. The menu, which features regional American items, is interesting and well balanced with a great selection of fish, meat and other offerings. Give this place a shot if food quality is your priority.
location, decent food – My colleague and I dined there for a early dinner in late January. We were skeptical since we were only the 2nd party to seat, but in time the downtown business dinner crowd strolled in. I agree the prices seemed high for the offer, but we found the food tasty and fresh - perhaps they have changed chefs and owners. I had fish baked in butter sauce and while tasty I would ask for any sauce/dressing to be placed on the side - if you're like me, I don't require my salad or entree to be drowning in its co... read more
Great location and excellent food. Service spotty. – If you are hoping to have lunch at Trinity on a weekday...you better go early. You might not get a table by 11:45hrs. Oh...and you will not get seated unless your complete party is present. The food is excellent, but be patient, it might take awhile before it arrives. I have had lunch at Trinity so many times I have lost count....I'm fairly certain that management has stressed to the staff the importance of turnover...ie: having 2 seatings during each lunch hour....because... read more
Great lunch spot but get there early – This is where I always take my clients for lunch. The food is not cheap but has always been good. It's busy for lunch but I try and get there before 11:30, no problem getting a table. I've been going there for over 20 years. They have THE best burger in Denver. Where else can you get walleye....it is amazing. I grew up on the east coast and the crab cakes at the Trinity are as close to mom's as I've ever had at a restaurant.
Don't Think So – My office building is attached to Trinity so I've been a few times. It's great looking inside, and the bar is very cool. The food is the big let down here. It is terribly overpriced for the portions and quality. For example: a lunch portion of basic fish & chips is $14, and it drips with grease. A lunch of 2 little unremarkable crab cakes and fries- $22! The service strives to become mediocre. I simply don't understand the draw of this place if one's intent is to have a good meal. Maybe it's the romance of b... read more
Customer Satisfaction?? – I stopped by for lunch, and when I told them my party was meeting me in 4-5 minutes, they took my name and walked away. When I asked to be sat, that was when they informed me that they didn't seat incomplete parties. There was litterally NO ONE in the dining area. They then said they couldn't "make exceptions for anyone". When my party arrived a few minutes later, they sat us by the kitchen, which was quite noisy. Lunch was mediocre at best, and when I informed my server that my soda was flat, she p... read more
eat only the entree – The evening held several horrors as well as several surprises. The salad was terrible. They charge $5 for an iceberg lettuce salad! The bread was stale and microwaved. The bread pudding was like custard without raisins with a little cinnamon on top. It hardly resembled bread pudding at all. The service was very slow. Ambience is non-existent. The one good thing was the entrees. The walleye, filet mignon, and German schnitzel were excellent, if a bit overpriced. Order only the entree if you go here to ea... read more
Great service, great food – Everything was excellent from the hot rolls, through the soups and entrees, to the souffle. A great bar area to have a quiet drink and conversation.
